The Grange Day Centre is a Charity set up and maintained by The Grange Welfare Association. The Day Centre has been operating since December 1975 as a provider of services to the residents of the outer-west of the city, under partnership with Newcastle Social Services Department.
The centre provides day care services to older people each weekday, this includes transport to and from the Grange, lunch during the day and a wide variety of activities and entertainment. The centre is purpose built with all areas being accessible to people with disabilities.
The Day Centre has a dedicated, experienced staff team governed by the Trustees of the Charity and a duty of care to provide what we believe to be the best level of support possible. It also welcomes members of the community who pop in for lunch and to enjoy the many other facilities the Centre has to offer. It also provides a Meals on Wheels service to the local community.

Our day care services are aimed at physically frail and/or mentally frail older people to help them remain in their own homes for as long as possible. Many are socially isolated and would benefit from a day spent in the company of friends, or have carers who require a break.
We also welcome anyone of pensionable age, who can make their own way here and would enjoy the services on offer and/or a subsidised meal.
